Hello all, my name is Mary Alewine!

I am a wife and mother of one son, Frankie, who is about to turn our home upside down as he broaches his 13th year, and with that, a decade of hair pulling, hand wringing, and doors slaming, preceded only by knee bending (in prayer). Join me in hoping that we all survive this right of passage...including Frankie!  

My passion is for cooking, entertaining, writing, decorating and all things creative, as well as traveling when time and funds allow. 

I am also in the process of starting my own party planning business.  In doing so, I will have an opportunity to merge my passions with a way to earn a living.

It is with Hubpages that I hope to become an accomplished writer and work my way towards my first book.  That is something I have always wanted to do!
